Q. What is the minimum amount that I can add to my meal plan at a time?

A:

$20.00 by Debit, Visa, Master Card, or cash.

Q. Where can I go to add money to my meal plan account?

A:

The Campus Meal Plan office in Room 130, Lambton Hall, or online at mealplan.uwo.ca/topup/.

Q. If I top up my meal plan online, will I be able to use it right away?

A:

Yes, additions made online are instantaneous. Your meal plan will be updated as soon as you receive your confirmation.

Q. How much do I save if I use my meal plan?

A:

The saving you receive depends on the plan you choose. You could save from 5% - 13%,on purchases made in the Campus Eateries.

Q. What happens at the end of the year if I have money left on my meal plan?

A:

Flex dollars do not expire and will transfer over from year to year. If you have a Tax Exempt Plan, please check your terms and conditions form.

Q. Can I get cash back from my meal plan?

A:

No, but you can apply for a refund at anytime through the Campus Meal Plan office. Refunds are subject to a $40 administrative fee and will be issued in the form of a cheque. The refund process takes approximately two weeks.

Q. How do I get a meal plan? And does it cost anything?

A:

Just bring your Western ONECard ID card to the Campus Meal Plan office in Room 130, Lambton Hall to start a meal plan, and there is no cost. You can choose the amount you wish to add ($100 minimum) based on your own personal eating habits.

Q. What happens to my meal plan if I lose my Western ONECard?

A:

If you lose your card, immediately notify Hospitality Service (either at the Meal Plan office or a cashier in any of our locations) and report it as "Lost". Once your card has a lost card status, it cannot be used by anyone. Should you find your card or have it replaced, come by the Meal Plan office to have your meal plan dollars re-activated.

Q. What hours is the Meal Plan office in Lambton Hall open?

A:

From September to April, we are open Monday - Thursday 11 am - 3:30 pm, Friday 11 am - 2 pm. Our summer hours are May to August, Wednesday (only), from 11 am to 2 pm.

Q. How can I apply for a refund?

A:

Apply for a Campus Meal Plan refund any time through the Campus Meal Plan office. Some conditions may apply. Residence students may apply for a refund in April, through the myHousing Portal.
